We went to this location with some friends. When we arrived there was only two tables with anyone there yet service was slow. The food was okay and not so much to my liking yet the ladies in the party enjoyed it. It was not my cup of tea but I'm sure that others will find it eclectic. It was a one and done for me.

Everything went well. Overall fantastic experience with food, service, and even carry out. Brussel sprouts were great and v plentiful. Chicken sandwich cooked to perfection. Shrimp was hot and delicious. Parking was tricky but worth the walk.

Cool farm-to-table vibe. Very hippy-dippy...lol! The shrimp dip and chips is a MUST! I do not recommend the gumbo. The roux was not dark enough. The collards and the cornbread were a little sweet for my liking but the pork chop was really good! The service was good!

During my trip the Charleston, South Carolina this was my absolute favorite place I ate at! The menu is straight to the point, the staff was so kind and the food was delicious! I loved this sandwich it was just so tasty and their homemade chips completed the whole meal together I highly recommend giving this place a try! My dad also got the shrimp po boy which I don't have a picture of he let me try and it was also very delicious and the shrimp was very fresh!

Trout and butter beans again! This time with collards :) yum! The place is busy but the service is efficient!

Highly recommended! Food was delicious and the service was great! Fried green tomatoes & Brussel sprouts were fabulous

This place was exactly what I was looking for when on vacation! Nice mom and pop shop with delicious food and warm hospitality. I got the gumbo soup as an appetizer and the fried pork chop as my meal with rice and corn bread as my sides. Everything was MOUTH WATERY, delicious! Honestly will probably be thinking this pork chop months down the road. It came with this delicious red sauce and the corn bread came with warm butter!!! TRY THIS PLACE

All I can say is "holy cow". I wanted to say this is not my kind of place. As it turns out this is EXACTLY my kind of place. Who knew I liked old fashioned southern cooking. I am told the Chicken Liver moose was very good. The potato chips that come with it seem to be home made and were hot. A great appetizer. The Vesper Martini was "eh". Not the best I've ever had but it did the job. Wife said the Bloody Mary was maybe the best she ever had. And she should know. The chicken sandwich is so juicy. I thought it was double breaded but they say no. It's marinated and that holds the breading. Crab cakes were "delicious". Good balance. Also grits are some of the best we have ever had. Wife recommends the fried green tomato sandwich

Hadn't been here in years, so glad we stopped in! The fried green tomato sandwich was heaven! Perfect bread and hot fried green tomatoes that made the pimento cheese a little melty. So yummy! My friend ordered the fried shrimp sandwich and it was loaded! All the sides are great.

My husband and I visited Glass Onion because we wanted to try authentic Southern Food. We learned that it was featured on Diners, drive-ins and dives, so that made it even more intriguing. Parking was tight as it seems to be a popular place. We had to wait about 35 minutes to be seated, but it was worth it. Our server was so friendly and provided amazing service. The interior of the restaurant is pretty utilitarian. Nothing fancy here, but the star of the show is the delicious food. I had the cornmeal battered catfish with collard greens and coleslaw. They also have a full bar so you can enjoy your favorite beverage with your meal. The catfish was very good. Tender and not greasy. The collards were seasoned perfectly and I really enjoyed them. The coleslaw was crunchy and the sauce had just the right amount of tanginess. We had such a great experience at the Glass Onion. We will be back to explore more of the menu.
